“A Tough Woman” (To a Tough Woman from a Tough Man)

She tells herself she’s good
As she pulls the hood over her head
To cover the blood on her hair that was shed
From the man she just killed.

Her mind is filled
With thoughts of confusion and anger
While looking over this stranger
Lying on the ground,
No longer making a sound.
She wonders why he lied
And tried to take advantage of her in that way.
She then walks around the town
Feeling down about the act she just did...
Feeling Sorry for that kid...
Hey, honey,
He raped you.
So stop all your crying
And never feel blue.
Just forget about what happened…
It’s all you can do.
Well…
Keep your mouth shut, too!
